Each country has a network composed by either public or private railways; they are characterized by a great variety of locomotives and trailed material: besides the differences in landscapes and infrastructures make each railway a well distincted reality. In the photogallery there are pictures of some European countries, with images either of the public or the private railways and, sometimes, of tramways. Paying some visits to the various railway systems we can discover the affinities of a network to the one of another country such as, for example, the exercise at 25 KV c.a. in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Many networks, narrow gauge too, such as the small Swiss private lines, make a large public service and turistic as well. |
