FS EMUs and trailers - Photogallery:

The first FS EMUs, by accumulators, were delivered to the RM in 1898, followed by the E.10 and E.20 working by "third rail" and the triphase E.1 and E.2. In 1932 were built the EAiz.10 and EACiz.60 by "third rail", which were transformed into the E.623 at 3 KV c.c. Many other groups were then put in service: the ALe.790/ALe.880, the analogous machines and the ALe.883; the ALe.840, ALe.540, ALe.660 and trailers; the ALe601 for rapid services; the ALe.803, ALe.801/ALe.940 and the GAI for the "shuttle" services in the 70's, followed by the ALe.724, ALe.582 and ALe.642 beginning from the 80's. Then in the 90's we see the arrival of the ALe.426/ALe.506 and of the ALe.501/ALe.502. In Alto Adige there were some EMUs, were in service on short Austro-Hungarian lines managed by the FS.
